Wishing You All A Healthy, Wealthy And Happy Future.

Think of all the beauty still left around you and be happy.

Hello everyone, I would like to dedicate this post to Health, Wealth and Happiness and just take a moment to think of what an absolutely wonderful world this would be if all of us could be healthy, wealthy and happy and I do think we would all agree, yes, of course it would be.

But unfortunately I really can’t imagine anyone being so incredibly optimistic as to even think that we could all be healthy, wealthy and happy, so therefore let us look at it this way, would we settle for just being healthy and happy, or wealthy and happy.

Actually, I’m going to take a short pause to think about the next one, because, unfortunately, there are people that are healthy and wealthy, but for some reason  they’re not happy.

Surely, you would think that being healthy and wealthy would automatically lead to being or at least feeling happy but apparently that isn’t the case, Yet, as strange as it may seem there are some people that aren’t wealthy or even healthy, but they still manage to stay happy.

So what is going on here then, is it a case of when a businessman becomes successful and makes lots of money, he or she never gets to a point where they can stop and say okay, I’ve made enough money now. Or do they just keep on making more and more money and never actually get to a have a moment where they pause and think that’s it, I feel happy now.

What Does Happiness actually Mean ?

Does happiness mean different things to different people, does happiness mean being really pleased about something, for instance, if someone gave me a new car for my birthday, I would be very happy indeed and if someone asked me the question, are you happy or are you pleased, I would have to say both, I am happy and I am pleased and that is how I would genuinely feel.

However if a wealthy businessman was given a new car, would he be pleased or happy, well, he already has new cars and such things, so the answer would probably be no, he wouldn’t get the same feeling of happiness that I would get, so as we can see from this little example, it takes more to make a rich person happy than it does to make a poor person happy.

Happy Is A Pleasurable Feeling, Pleased Is A Feeling Of Pleasure.

So does it really mean that while we are all striving to make ourselves better off financially and to be successful in life, we are, in actual fact, if we do manage to succeed, going to make ourselves want even more money, which in turn will make it even harder to please us and to make us happy, well first of all, I think we need to take a closer look at the words, pleased and happy or more specifically is there a difference between being pleased and being happy ?

With money, you are able to buy all kinds of materialistic goods and items and yes, these goods and items will bring feelings of positive pleasure and enjoyment, however these feelings only last a matter of hours, days or weeks, they are just superficial and temporary pleasures, happiness on the other hand, is much longer lasting, in fact, true happiness is a lot more resilient and enduring, it can stay with you whatever troubles may come your way.

So how do people find this true happiness, is it something that some people are just born with or have they found some hidden secret, well actually, it’s neither of these, the truth is, they have simply stopped taking things for granted, yes that’s right, if all of us, took a moment to stop and think of all the wonderful things in our lives that up till now we have never stopped to even thing about, let alone be grateful for, we would all begin to feel much happier.

So how do we stop taking things for granted and why are we finding it so difficult to slow down and take the time to be grateful for all the precious things we already have in our lives, how come we don’t realize that there are things we take for granted that some people are praying for.

Well, I think it’s because we all have some kind of wired in capacity to subconsciously assume that we are never going to lose the things we hold dear, the fact that our loved ones have always been there, seems to lull us into some kind of false sense of security and belief that they will always be there.

So off we go directing our thoughts, interests and energies in other directions and we find ourselves overlooking the very things that should be the most important to us, if only we could fully focus on the things in our lives that really are important, maybe then we could start being truly happy.

What About Healthy Food.

Many people say there are lots of ways to find happiness and recent scientific studies are also linking diet to happiness, so could we actually eat our way to happiness ? Lets have a look at the different foods that are being tested in these recent scientific studies.

Walnuts, Dr Ramsey, refers to nuts as “Natures multivitamins” because they contain many nutrients including a high level of oleic acid, which has been linked with a decreased risk of depression, they also contain healthy digestive fiber.

Oysters, It is said that oysters are an aphrodisiac, but they do have a large amount of vitamin B12 which protects myelin, a substance than insulates brain cells, it is essential for neurons to communicate with one another which is the basis of thinking and decision making, Oysters also contain zinc and a high level of omega-3 fatty acids which is good for brain health.

Red Beans, Are one of the top antioxidant foods, also very high in protein, neurotransmitters are made of the amino acids in protein, they also contain high levels of iron, iron is known to prevent brain disorders.

Beetroot, Contain betaine and folate, which is known to be beneficial to the brain they also have high levels of magnesium and uridine.

Anchovies, High in omega 3 fat which is highly beneficial for the brain,

Sweet potatoes, Have more beta-carotene than carrots, which is linked to a decreased risk of dementia, they’re also high in vitamin B6.

Full fat yogurt, Along with a high dose of probiotics, yogurt has been shown to reduce anxiety.

Detoxing.

The whole point of detoxing is to flush toxins and other unwanted substances from the body, which helps to improve your overall health, but it’s not just your physical health that benefits from detoxing, something that is often overlooked is the benefits of detoxing to your mental health and general feeling of well being.

Detox teas are a very popular drink for detoxing, They are a good replacement and a refreshing change to your regular daily cup of tea. One of the most popular and best selling detox teas being sold at the moment is Red Tea Detox which in addition to the detoxifying and cleansing effect can also promote weight loss.

Wealthy Affiliate.

I would like to take this opportunity to tell everyone my own story of how I got here, or rather, how I got to this point in my life, where I am sitting here writing and posting articles to my website and I hope the posts and articles I write are interesting, informative and helpful, I like to think my posts are helping others, well, I hope they are anyway.

I have spent most of my life doing a variety of low paid manual work, I suppose I’m your typical, Jack of all trades, master of none type of man, or as the politically correct brigade would say “person”, however, even though I have always, or at least mostly done low paid work, it has always been enough to live on and pay the bills etc, so basically I have always been more of less content and just carried on regardless,  which was probably due to my happy go lucky attitude.

Walking stick

However, there are certain things in life that we just can’t avoid and one of those things is “old father time”, we’re not spring chickens for ever you know, though I suppose at 57, I’m not that old really but that hasn’t stopped me from getting osteoarthritis in my knees, which now prevents me from doing the type of work I have always been used to doing, so initially I started looking for work that didn’t involve me being on my feet, lifting and carrying things etc.

So, what opportunities are out there for me, what type of work can I do with osteoarthritis, I applied for a variety of different job vacancies, but all of the vacancies I was applying for were for jobs that I had no experience or qualifications for and with so many other people applying for the same vacancies who were young and did have the necessary qualifications, meant I had very little to no chance of landing the job.

I obviously regret it now but I’ve never been one for saving money, that’s probably down to my happy go lucky attitude again, so, there I was,  no money, my prospects of finding employment were looking rather slim. As you can probably imagine, I was starting to feel down in the dumps, in fact I was feeling very low, so I felt I must at least try and think of something, there has to be something I can do.

Okay, I had heard of affiliate marketing before, but I didn’t know anything about it, so I decided to look further into it, to begin with I came across the “Easy money online” offers, and the “get-rich-quick” promises, and the “I made thousands in one day” scams, well, I wasn’t gullible enough to be taken in by such nonsense but I didn’t give up, I just kept trying.

Eventually I signed up to a blog so I could use it as a sort of landing page, I signed up to click bank, got some affiliate links and joined some forums and blogs etc, so I could hopefully find potential customers, but after a few months of trying, it all led to nothing, I was about to give up on the whole idea and start looking for something different, when I stumbled across the following link.

This really is the actual link I came across and when I clicked on it, I was taken to a sign up page, well, it’s free so I thought, why not give it a try, so I did and I have to admit that as soon as I got started it seemed and felt a lot different to what I had been finding in my previous searches.

One of the first things that struck me was the welcoming and friendly atmosphere, everyone was taking the time to chat with me and generally making me feel welcome, I’m not talking about wealthy affiliate employees or staff, it was the members themselves that were making me feel welcome and that really is what wealthy affiliate is like.

Another thing about wealthy affiliate that I really liked was the feeling that I was no longer alone, up to this point, I had been making more or less random searches trying to find out and learn more about affiliate marketing by myself, but now I was among lots of other people that were all in the same position that I was in.

There is and of course, some long standing members, people that had been with wealthy affiliate for a long time so they had much more experience and all of the members old and new all help each other, asking and answering each others questions, there is also the training videos and lots of them, there are tasks to carry out, there are chat rooms, class rooms, in fact it does at first seem overwhelming, there is too much to take it all in.

Questions answers.

So, Having started off with the free membership it wasn’t long before I was tempted to join as a premium member but I’m just the same as everyone else, I want to be absolutely sure about something before parting with any money, the main thing that I had on my mind was that old saying, if something seems too good to be true, it unusually is.

So I did some searches and looked for wealthy affiliate reviews and so on, just to see what other people were saying about it and what their experiences were but after numerous searches and reading peoples reviews, I couldn’t find anyone saying anything negative about wealthy affiliate.

well, I have signed up to premium now, and I can assure you it really is true, Wealthy Affiliate has taught me more about affiliate marketing in such a short space of time than I would ever have thought possible, and not only that, I have set up and now own a website, which for me is a massive achievement and it’s all thanks to wealthy affiliate but there is even more than that.

As I mentioned earlier, I was feeling low and down in the dumps, well not any more, I have now found a very interesting hobby, in fact I find myself looking forward to logging into my website and writing articles and adding various content, I am always eager to sign in to wealthy affiliate and get stuck into the lessons and Kyle’s next video lessons and of course chatting with the Wealthy Affiliate community, in fact, I love it.

  1. I think it is safe to say that happiness comes from within and as such, the body is just a reaction to how the mind is. If the mind is happy, then the body will stay healthy too but the issue about being wealthy requires more than just being happy. One needs to get out of our comfort zone. Wealthy Affiliate indeed is an excellent platform. The love, the support, the trainings, the various tools and everything made available actually makes it the best platform I have ever been. I just like the platform slot.

    • Wealthy affiliate is indeed an excellent platform and not just for beginners, many experienced affiliate markers can improve their business knowledge and find great benefits at wealthy affiliate, many people who joined wealthy affiliate as complete beginners are now very successful and some have become wealthy, I’m not saying that being wealthy automatically leads to a person being happy but being poor can certainly lead to a person being sad, so I say join wealthy affiliate and give affiliate marketing a go, it’s free to join so you have nothing to lose.

  2. To be honest a lot of people have their own take on which of these they would prefer. Some might say that they would rather be wealthy and happy than be healthy and happy. With enough wealth sometimes you can be able to treat yourself and give yourself the best care but this does not always happen.

Some might wonder what is the use of been happy if I am not wealthy. It all depends on the individual and what they feel would put a smile on their face.

    • Thank you for your comment Jay, I really do think that I would be happy if I was wealthy, however, there are many people that are wealthy but they’re far from being happy, I suppose wealth does initially make people happy but then after a while of getting used to having all the things that wealth brings it may get boring after a while.

  3. Great article! It is so funny I was just reading about the subject of happiness earlier today and when I saw your post I knew I had to read it. For me, happiness is 1st and foremost determined by what I allow myself to think about.

By planning my day and directing my thoughts on positive self-improvement books and videos I have eliminated over thinking about where I am or dwelling on the past, or all the negative garbage I have put in my mind over the years. Now I am retraining my thoughts with intentional, repetitive and positive thoughts of which produce more of the same just as negative thoughts and discontent produces more in a negative way.

One thing I started doing every morning about a month or so ago is this. The moment I my alarm goes off the first thought in my mind is to thank God. For anything and everything that I can think of. Some mornings I am maybe just going through the motions and my heart isn’t really in it. But other mornings I end up with the biggest smile on my face and start my day with an attitude of gratitude.

Your are right, we would all be much happier to view the blessings and opportunities we have , especially in America. I think the more we have, as you stated, the more it requires to get to our emotions and feel something.

Things are so temporary and if we base happiness on that it is like building a house on sinking sand. My happiness comes from trusting my Lord. But that isn’t automatic and requires me to bring the thoughts that pop up in my head under control and not allow the junk in there to stay.

thanks for sharing your story as well. Felt so genuine and real and as long as you do that you will connect with readers. I also agree that food as well as other factors can have a huge impact not only on our physical health but our mental health. Being a single father and just single most of my life I have developed less than great nutrition habits and the reminder was needed .

Thanks and best of luck with your site and business

    Michael
